Trek route : Moderate
Altitude: 4990 mtrs.
Trekking in Sikkim is best experienced with Yaks on this high altitude trek route in West Sikkim offering camping above Dzongri. The trail passes through the pastures of Dzongri leading further to Thangshing valley. One can enjoy the dramatic terrain and variety of Rhododendrons bushes along the way.
Our camp above Thangshing at Lamuney offers a face to face encounter with Mt. Pandim climber by our Managing Director in 1997. You can also see Mt. Thingchinkhang and Mt. Jopuno at a close distance. In October 2006, after these peaks are declared open as trekking peaks, Yak and Yeti Travels made a first successful climb on Mt. Thingchinkhang with team from Spain, Germany and India.
This trek can be combined with cultural tour to Khechopalri Lake and to monasteries at Pemayangtse and Tashiding before departing to Bagdogra airport, Phuntsoling or Nepal.
For the adventure lovers, Gochala trek offers you a memorable trekking holiday blended with nature, culture and adventure.
